James Lee at Friars Point Mississippi wharf boat. This would the the 2nd James Lee since the 1st James Lee was destroyed by an arsonist at Hopewell Point Arkansas around 1890 along with several other Lee Line boats which were damaged or destroyed. A night watchman was able to extinguish a fire on one of the family boats but the James Lee was burned to the water line. I am always seeking to find new family boat pictures or artifacts from this era.
